The Best Skincare Products for Men

Be good to your skin. You’ll wear it every day for the rest of your life.
— Renee Rouleau

Hi there Stylish Friends,

Skincare for men is still a thing that is not discussed enough. There are tons of brands out there that promote good items, but mainly for women. Now don’t worry ladies, I am happy for you all that you have the choice, but for men it is still way too limited. Read more about my favorite brands and where to get them without going broke.

Pore Clearing Clay Mask

Black heads, or dirty pores can look really bad. I was looking for a product that felt nice and significantly makes my skin, especially my nose, look better/cleaner. If you want this result, make sure to check out clay masks from Innisfree. They’re a Korean brand and are pretty good at what they’re doing. The big advantage is that the mens skincare industry in South Korea has already matured quite a bit, meaning that products like these will be better than other country’s brands.

Key Features

Price around ¥1700 ($15,-)

Instant result for blackhead removal

Full Face Care

Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel

This should be the first thing I have to mention because i use it so often. I get it, it is a pain to get a face/skin routine started. But If you want to start somewhere, Aloe Vera is definitely a product to get started with. If you have a dry skin, have a lot of acne, or are just too lazy to put on a facemask before bedtime, give this stuff a try.

I used to use just this for a long time because I was lazy and it mainly helped for my dry skin and acne. Tokyo winters are very dry so getting a humidifier is as important as getting a bed to sleep on here.

Best time to use this is usually right after showering because your skin will be clean and dry.

Key Features

Price between ¥1000~1700 ($10-15,=)

Usable everywhere

Multipurpose

Smells great

CNP Laboratory Ppropolis Ampule Mist

Speaking of easy and quick items to make your skin look 10/10 : Mist. I usually spray this on my face right before leaving the house and has definitely contributed to a smoother skin and that nice ‘ohh you take care of your skin!’ glow.

but you said I should use aloe vera’… Yes, but not on your face right before you leave the house. The gel is great but feels a bit less natural on your face and leaves a thicker layer on. so use the gel on your at night rather than daytime.

Key features

Price around ¥2500 ($24,-)

Very Soothing

That instant glow

Mediheal N.M.F AQUARING AMPOULE MASK

Facemasks are a maze. There are so many brands, styles, sizes, etc. I used quite a few different types and since I can not go to Korea to get my fix of cheap but good masks, I started looking around for more options.

My nose is a bit bigger than that of the locals so a good fit was a big issue. The Mediheal masks happen to be a great size and they work really well! they’re a bit thicker, meaning you’ll get more moisture from them ad thats the thing you’re looking for when you want to keep those wrinkles out of sight.

Key Features

Price around ¥2200 ($20,-) for 10 masks

Thicker masks

Great fit

There are tons of other great products out there which I haven’t discovered yet. I personally like these very much at the moment so wanted to share. If you have any recommendations, let me know and I will give them a try.
